IPbyGreen: A Tale of Innovation, Family, and The Occasional Pilates Session

Imagine a company name that sounds like a secret code, a riddle wrapped in an enigma. That’s IPbyGreen. It all started with ‘Improve Process’, ‘Improve Performance’, and ‘Improve Projects or Programs’. But let’s be honest, that sounds like something you’d find in a manual for corporate success – effective but a tad dry.

Then, in a twist of fate, my daughter, the eco-warrior of the family, chimed in with “go green” as our slogan. Suddenly, it wasn’t just about processes and programs; it was about planting trees (metaphorically, at least) and maybe saving a couple of polar bears along the way. The ‘Green’ in IPbyGreen took on a whole new shade – think vibrant spring green, not just the surname on my mailbox.

As for ‘IP’, it started to take on a life of its own. ‘Intensive Pilates’, anyone? That’s right, IPbyGreen could’ve been your go-to for a killer core workout, but I figured the world had enough Pilates studios. ‘Inner Peace’ was another contender. I thought about doubling as a meditation retreat, but then remembered I am too fond of coffee and loud brainstorming sessions for that level of zen.

‘Inform People’, ‘Interest People’, ‘Involve People’, ‘Inspire People’ – these might be my new mantras. I want to do more than just improve things; I want to ignite a spark, start conversations, and maybe cause a little bit of healthy trouble.

And the ‘by’ in my company name? That’s my little nod to the designers, the dreamers, the entrepreneurs who are busy painting the canvas of the future. It’s a bridge, a connection, a way of saying, “Hey, we’re in this creative chaos together.”

So here we are, IPbyGreen – a mix of professional aspirations, family legacies, and a sprinkle of humour. I want my company to be about making things better, sure, but also about having a laugh, thinking outside the box, and maybe, just maybe, figuring out how to do Intensive Pilates without breaking a sweat.
